How do you tell the difference between art times?
I have a quiz at the door and the teacher, show 23 slides of paintings, ceramics, architecture etc. I have to write down what each work of art is time. Can someone help me by giving me some characteristic features of art in times? How Prehistoric – murals with killed animals and things, Egypt – Pyramids and hieroglyphics, Greek – perfect man in God-like form, Roman – columns and more people are realistic, Renaissance – scenes from the Bible, right? Byzantine – stained glass halo, and the babies' faces look like adults. "Baroque – a darker image with a light source activity is at a point, usually on the side. Impressionism – landscapes-type things and I think they are stained and Surrealism – some real crazy things aspects. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Each additional add? Please! Thank you!
From the classic painting art collection in Impressionism and above , the things changed. In paintings shown exactly, but as photography came along, it seemed the artist is not competitive. In Impressionism, they took their next Step. They focused on the color of the line and instead painted their impressions of what they watch, with a clear focus on the effects of light, delicate but visible brush strokes and neutrality towards the issue. Post-impressionist bent the rules a bit when they did the heavy brush strokes, kept the bright colors, but sometimes they're where they belong and not quite changed angles and geometry of the subject. As these rules have been bent on, neutrality was abandoned, with color and motif instead used to achieve an effect some viewers des A focus less on the line on, this led the way for Expressionism and modern art (which may not even have a theme such as shapes and colors are created solely to achieve a specific feeling or effect).
