What is the potter's wheel system called that keeps your project in place on the wheel for trimming?
It fits over the wheel (or perhaps screws like a bat?) and has sliding doors, adjustable fasteners that hold your bowl instead of pieces of clay. (It is not the one with Giffin Legs that used to trim high odd-shaped things … it is only for normal skins.) Thank you!
I think it is technically still a Giffin Grip, but without the arm attachments. This photo of the Giffin I saw used to trim normal shells (http://www.axner.com/axner/tools/giffin-grip.php). If this is not what you use, then you can try looking bat, and trimming some pottery supplies online websites to see if you see what you use.
