The discovery of fair trade jewelry

I was at my last shopping spree in the Windsor area dedicated to jewelry shows in astonishment. In a shop it was pretty overwhelming because there were racks and racks of free-standing display units draped with all colors, shapes and styles under the sun for all units and individuals to meet.

The show moved to handbags, scarves and other accessories, all you dress up that new suit or evening dress. A woman's paradise really since Let's face it, where jewelry, are because women usually like bees drawn to honey pot! I could not help feeling like a kid to do in a cake shop on everything from the opulent colors drip from the stands look like drawn out. I do not remember so much jewelry are available and it made a good impression on me. It was like walking into Aladdin's cave.

There are two things that really struck a chord with me. Although these high street jewelry is affordable, it is mass produced and delivered nationally there are high chances that if you go to the company party somewhere, someone has to wear a necklace or bracelet identical.

My first question is the originality of the mass produced jewelry. My second thought is made about the people of this gem. Is it cheap because it is the mass in sweatshops produced by poor working conditions? We do not know, and many of us do not have the time to stop and think. We only need to buy the chain for the dress for this function. We are consumed by the pressure to look good impose on us the materialism of the Western world.

So my view is that originality to ensure, I now see the logic behind the purchase of handmade jewelry. There are many very affordable jewelry, the hand in the UK were made by people with a natural flair for jewelry design. OK, some expensive, top end designer jewelry but there are really appealing jewelry in the middle price range.

Having recently gone Stonor Park Fair, has been there to have around 15 stalls selling handmade jewelry. No two designers were the same, there were elegant silver Design, chunky glass designs, wood beads and dichroic glass earrings and pendants to name just a few. At least, made by hand jewelry, each piece is unique in that it was affectionately by the person who crafted. There is high certainty that the item is original and will be admired for its processing clearly have all hand-made Jewelry.

As far as cheap labor is the only option is to guarantee jewelry was not produced in a sweatshop, to explore the world of fair trade jewelry . If an item "Fair Trade" means that the product, whether it is a pottery is bowl, a basket or a silver necklace has exchanged for a fair wage.

It means it has hands of highly qualified people with traditional Be prepared by methods adopted for generations. So we actually have a choice of what and where we buy our jewelry. Handmade Fair Trade Jewelry is easily accessible from numerous boutiques and online stores and inexpensive, elegant and stylish. At least when you buy this, we know what it says on the label, fair trade.
