I have a few questions about your cactus?

Feel free to answer all or: I have some cacti in the last year. They were in small pottery jars, and I transplanted them in yogurt cups with fresh dirt, 1a .- The dirt professional looking stale. I try to extract the plants take the old dirt and move It in new yogurt cup with new dirt? Set-1b, IIM, I should blind holes in the floor of the new cups? (I did last time.) -2; A flowering plant from growing to share a cup of what I "think" is a dead plant. Should I try and separate them or just let her alone? (I 'think' is it . Dead, not sure)-3a; A few plants are thin and I have tried to be flexible with sticks and wire clamp it vertically upward. They should be braced or let them grow sideways;?-3b IFSO how to make a good support?

You really need to use a cactus soil mix. It sounds as if your Plants are not "draining" good. Plastic is not a good planter. Terra cotta planters are not only cheap but also "breathe" the good. Remove dead plants when transplanting. "Light" Plants are usually rot from too much water and the plant. Cacti are every bit of water, they can to keep them through the "drought" until the next rain to absorb. Make sure they get as much direct sun as possible. If You are mistaken in casting err on the side of "too dry". Cacti are very "drought resistant "…. look at the desert (less than 10 cm of rainfall per year). Let them grow in the shape they want.
