Need help to identify the face of art pottery, possibly Irish / Gaelic?

I have 2 pieces of beautiful but unusual facial Ceramic Art with both brands and artists signatures. The signature is very clear, written in the mud on the floor, but I can not decipher it. Can only the first 7 letters of … "Deichiu. The remaining letters may "ouch" but I'm not sure. All with reading handwriting . Do When I see the first 7 letters googled you up, I have websites, the Irish Gaelic and were talking a lot about the respective languages. Hopefully I am at least on the right track. The logo, also the same. I interpret it a capital letter "D" and centered horizontally in the letter "Y". According to this very clearly "marked NB 44" or "N3 44".
