Purchased new refrigerator – Regal has scratches, what can I do?

I recently bought a brand new side by side refrigerator with glass shelves. I one of my dishes on one of the shelves, and it has scratched the shelf. I never thought this would happen, on closer inspection my attitude Dinner is part of the base, (is this is the way of design), such as unglazed ceramics. What can I do about the fridge? Do I have any rights in a letter on the refrigerator company (Westinghouse) – I have checked the manual and there is no warning about what to put the glass shelves. I would have thought that the glass does not scratch easily or that have a coating on them … What can I do? Thanks

Common sense would require that on glass, grinding glass Equals Scratch! You can off the shelf exchange with the retailer you bought it, but I do not expect a positive outcome for you!
