Undiscovered villages in Le Marche, Italy

I started almost 3 years Livinginlemarche.com for more depth to my two existing sites, marchtownhouses.com and montelparo.com. But in the 10 years I have been involved in one way or another in the property market in Le Marche, Italy, I've only recently, many mountain villages, who have discovered largely ignored by both foreign and Italian buyers. The two areas that I know in Le Marche, the province of Ascoli Piceno in the southern Brands and also to a lesser extent the province of Ancona in central Le Marche. But in the last 6 months in the southern part of Le Marche, I have many beautiful mountain villages, those found largely unknown in other parts of the same province. These villages are usually overlooked either, which only slightly further away from the coast or further from the main streets of the Aso Valley, Tenna, Tronto and Tesino.

I was lucky to see many of these villages in southern Le Marche this Year have visited, and were surprised to see how beautiful and untouched. Many villages seem to have had a lot of rehabilitation work carried out both on the small Country houses and their churches and municipal buildings. Often, when the locals seem to demand not to know which organization, be it the local economy of the local Community or by the central government have actually paid for these expensive improvements. In any case, the removal work is usually at a very high standard carried out, and always tend to improve the beauty of the many historic buildings and the village properties alike. Stone and masonry are often sandblasted clean and then carefully re-pointed with this piece being performed by skilled artisans. The roofs are extended and renovated, in general, the reuse of existing tile or, if broken or missing tiles are used with tiles of similar appearance and age replaced.

But before I list the villages I think are worth further exploration in the southern Le Marche, I will mention only three or four of the favorite places that I know and have come to love over the Years. My two favorites are Monterubbiano and Moresco. Both are only 10 minutes drive from the Adriatic coast, and in different ways and bodies have all the qualities of that I was perfect for a place. Moresco, in fact, is a fraction of the Monterubbiano and only 10 minutes from him larger sister. It is a very old and historic hamlets and is quite small compared to the other nearby mountain villages. But is a timeless feel and became one of the 45 most beautiful and historic villages all over Italy from the Italian public in several polls. Moresco is a real gem and worth a visit, although properties in the historic center, only rarely coming onto the market purchase. Monterubbiano is a much larger village and many small shops, museums, restaurants, hotels and bars. It has a very open atmosphere about it with a small central square and it is unusual for most mountain villages in Le Marche compared, as much as many of the small houses built in and sat down on the external walls have small gardens or property. The whole village has a very friendly feel and there are always concerts, exhibitions and festas where the whole Year instead. The other village I always like to visit Campofilone, virtually on the coast, south of the seaside resort Pedaso. It is a small fortified village with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the Adriatic, just a few kilometers away. The famous thin stranded pasta called macaroni is produced in the area around the village and is very popular throughout Le Marche.

Now a short list of my favorite places undetected, they are Cossignano, a really beautiful historic mountain village near Ripatransone in the south of the brands. It has a beautiful small square with the Commune and village church building on two sides and in another corner of the Piazza one of the most beautiful village bars I have come to this part of Italy, in fact, feel the bar is very French, with outside tables and open facade. Cossignano worth a longer visit and will explore the basis for the ideals of this beautiful part of Le Marche. Lapedona is a really nice village also near the coast, if this about 8 km from the Beaches of Marina Palmense. Lapedona is through close to the Altidona is also a perfect little village of Le Marche, which usually go unnoticed by foreign tourists and property buyers looking for small village houses. Massignano is another village worth a visit. It is also south of the village and only a few Pedaso Kilometers from the sea. The village has many narrow streets with many small houses often colored with beautiful window boxes. It is an absolutely stunning village church and a small Piazza bar near the main entrance. A small local museum displays local pottery and manufacture over the centuries also fronts the Piazza.

Ponzano Fermo is a beautiful village between the town of Fermo and the villages Petritoli, Monterubbiano and Grottazzolina located. It's one of those places where all the usual roads To bypass even though it is a thriving community and the village is quiet with some great shops, restaurants and bars. There are also two very small groups or hamlets which should be visited, but are quiet and have no shops or bars, but are both within a ten minute walk from its larger sister villages. One thing is Torchiaro is a fraction of the much larger village of Ponzano di Fermo and the other is the Moregnano a fraction of the large and popular village Petritoli is. I will never tire of visiting this unspoiled gems, many villages have their roots in the 13th or 14 Livinginlemarche.com century and is always happy to advice and help for everyone, the more Le Marche give learn.
