A Family Event in the mountains The Brasstown music and arts festival Overlook

How can a postcard, hand-made North Carolina Community fit so much in one day? To out to visit the free Overlook Brasstown festive music and art, come on Saturday 27 June alive.
Overlook Brasstown is the sister community to the overlooked Martins Creek.
This first-ever family event runs from 10:00 bis 4:00 clock on Jason Mason Road, about three miles from the world renowned John Campbell Folk School am.
Event coordinator Jamie Keener said: "The family-style day of fun is not only incredible food, live music by the fabulous Barker brothers and breathtaking Work of local artists and artisans, but feature artisans from as far away as Florida, Tennessee and Georgia.
"There are no entry fees seller. Generous donations from local and area businesses that recognize the value of art in our busy lives to help move expenses "Keener continued.
Classifications include painting, jewelry, photography, wood carving, small furniture, ceramics, scrimshaw, pumpkin art and glass art.
Arts Fest Committee officials called glass art creator David Goldhagen guest of honor, he will show his famous works. His genius – from small-scale glass sculptures to tables, lamps, Menorahs and patterned glass – is shown in many private collections as well as in corporate communication collections, museums and foundations.
Goldhagen said, "This first-of-a-kind Event is certainly the most exciting and suggests other festivals in the coming years. I feel fortunate to be involved in this first festival, and am particularly pleased to know the recipient the day Cherokee and Clay County Food Banks will ".
Area developer Blake Twedt, creator of the Overlook Brasstown, the idea of a music and arts festival to some to support its commitment to the ecology of the country and the nature of what the community has been given back.
As Twedt said: "Local businesses seized and art-interested people have the vision to this day long tribute to artists, musicians and artisans of this area and beyond to start.
Proceeds from this first music and arts festival is mainly donated Cherokee and Clay County Food Banks and other charities. Since Admission to the festival is free, the visitors were asked to bring some extra canned food from their shopping list as donation. Ingle's Food Store is a collection together.
