I would like my grandma's ashes to seal the bottom of a hollow base of a pottery piece?
the sound may not be, or it refired to crack. The hole that requires sealing is about the size of a coffee cup.
If it was me, I would mix some Bondo (Automotive Spatula) and (slowly and carefully) start filling the hole. It would take some time and several applications, or you will round hole in one pass. Apply something to start at the edge of the fill hole. Allow to cure it. Sand smooth. More to the now smaller hole. Allow to harden, sand smooth. More to the shrinking hole … the picture?
