Question of the number 36 written in script jug on the floor one. What does it mean?
I have treated a brown jug, I think it is stoneware or perhaps Pottery. The number on the bottom is written in old English. It is not the amount that it considers. There is no other decision makers mark on them. Any Ideas about what can that 36 of the state? Thank you. I do not know the age of this pitcher.
There are a few options … marked but differ from pottery to pottery. Unfortunately, with so many variations in decision makers marks, only the true meaning is to the potters themselves known. This, however, are it has a relationship with the studio, where it is produced, or * on * it was more likely part of a series and your was the 36th Krug, in this particular batch thrown. You can not expect that to be manufacturer B / C, while that which was historically at the bottom of the works does not mean every artist put this
