Sounds like a nice housewarming gift?

My friend has an apartment in a 3 minutes from me (yay!) & they do not have much decorative stuff. I Do you really like a kind of African look, with rattan and earth tones and a few bright jewel tones, lighten things up. I bought a table runner for their Coffee table in dark really branches. a large glass bowl, which is about 30cm wide and is a kind of blue, green and swirly willow & some decorative balls (which are not by; it could see almost look like ceramic) in the bowl in earthy tones. I myself have beautiful home and set it up to examine it looked. It is not my style (my house is very modern), but it sounds like me on the right track and this was an appropriate housewarming gift?
