A renaissance of Chinese culture
In the past four years under the auspices of New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV), a group of artists and Scholars have breathed new life into Chinese culture. Together they have a world class annual cultural show, that bring about a renaissance of ancient Chinese culture and traditon is generated. Their annual global Chinese New Year Spectacular is touring the world's leading theaters around the Globe. In just a few years the production of seven performances in five cities in 2004 increased, to 76 performances in 30 cities in 2007. The audience has swelled, which again shows the last year landed on Billboard Magazine number seven slot for the most successful productions. But the real story lies not in the figures but strikingly, they may be, but in the sense of the whole. Behind the numbers is a story of tragedy, perseverance, hope and renewal.
After the acquisition in China by the Communists in 1949, the traditional Chinese culture and spiritual traditions have been destroyed and outlawed. Almost all temples and many priceless art treasures were destroyed and burned. They, the Communists, he went into the history books and brainwashing generations of Chinese with party culture, class struggle and the Marxist Ideological change.
Many artists and creators of the show have to experience first hand the oppression of the traditional culture and human rights. One of them is the artistic director Rutang Chen, who went through the pain and humiliation of the Cultural Revolution. He and his wife were separated and the landscape to 'reform' be hard work for all-the crime, artists played the cello and flute. Years later, when they could play their instruments again in the leading Central China Symphony Orchestra, had to be scrapped all the classical and traditional music in favor of patriotic songs. Many orchestras were disbanded in total.
With NTDTV shows, gone are the red flags of Chinese communism. Gone are the pirouettes People's Liberation Army soldiers. Passing all the texts are made by hand to stir patriotism. In its absence, is a cultural space that has been missing for years.
Instead NTDTV Spectacular served China's best traditional art in all its splendor, vitality and mental robustness. Many traditional Chinese instruments are used, and the costumes are modeled faithfully from old manuscripts, paintings and ceramics. Everything the wonderful scenes that recall the splendor of China's great dynasties and legends from distant history.
You can get them placed carefully in each step Lotus Arts Troupe to see dancers. You can hear it in the deep, intimate play the erhu, an ancient Chinese two-stringed violin. And you can feel it in every action, that intangible ingredient that makes the difference between normal and magic.
This is the Chinese culture brought to life by people who live in it. But it is Even culture is to inspire, to refine and maintain their audience. Unlike in China is produced, where, under Communist rule today much of the art, such as a plastic veneer, To play the fantasy of passing tourists, runs the show of NTDTV true deep, deep, 5,000-year-old culture of China.
