The city and its most important period of growth comes from the arrival of the French in 1888. Museum of Ethnology
A must for anyone either in May or Chao flock to Sapa. This museum is widely regarded as the best in the country recognized and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic minority peoples. Water Puppet Theatre
This is a unique creation with Vietnamese originated from nearly a thousand years.
