how to make pottery clays
making pottery aquarium safe?

What does aquarium pottery safe? How do I know if two different types of clays can be mixed together? I am in the process of establishing a small business. I make aquarium ornaments and other decorative pieces from stoneware. I want some color to my work Add without glaze. I wonder, with two or more types of sound in one piece. How do I know if it can tone two merged into a single piece? I know it has something to do with the shrinking prices and grog%. But where do I get this information carefully and how close you have two types of clay together to be viable. Also like can I know if a certain sound is aquarium safe. The supplier came from the right and told me that the first type of clay I was safe but they are not nearly as helpful now in any reason. How do I know whether to keep the sound in water? How do I know if it affect water chemistry?

As far as I know you can always ad pigments in your tone to the look you want, without mixing of two different types of clay. Most clays will mix well, but you have a complete mix and not stratified or bands to do when the grain is too different from each other in size. You can test by going to a double layer of fire play and and then see water tests to see what happens. When it comes to everything apart then the sounds are too different without complete mixing. And as long as your peices burned You are no problems with the water. (There done that! Been) If you do not plan on using the glaze should be burning any harmful chemicals in the clay could be. (If using glaze, use a non-leaded type) you can also test if you really want by taking a few peices and add of fish from Wal-Mart. Hope this helps! : D
