Flowers and their impact on our daily lives
Does anyone take any notice of the flowers and plants around them? I love flowers. I can not Imagine life without them, but I am sure that most people do not notice.
USES
Flowers were already always used in fragrances have been at home, in candles, incense, oils, air fresheners etc.
Many shampoos, perfumes, soaps, etc. have the scent of the flowers.
Many plants, flowers and herbs are also used for medical purposes.
Well Known FLOWERS
Roses
Roses are the most popular flowers are the symbol of love / romance. Flowers are for love on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, and for given just about any occasion you can . Think
In British history, there was even a war of the Roses. The red rose is the symbol of England. (And very nice it is!)
Poppies
Poppies are wild flowers that grow in the hedges of the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world. They come in different colors, but in my opinion they are the most beautiful in red.
They are a symbol of death and used in Britain to commemorate the dead soldiers / women who gave their lives in the two world wars.
Daffodils
I'm English mean, so for me, Spring daffodils. I have traveled the world, and have never like the daffodils, which I have seen seen in the UK have. I no longer live in the United Kingdom, and I never saw daffodils, which makes me sad. I think they are so beautiful. Daffodils bloom in early spring , bringing a splash of color.
William Wordsworth wrote a beautiful poem about daffodils, entitled "I wander lonely as a cloud." If you do not never read this poem, please do as it encapsulates the beauty of the humble daffodil.
FLOWERS for decoration
Many flowers adorn antiques they have. For example, tea set, ceramic vases, dishes, cutlery etc.
In fact, if you look at some of the most famous painting, that were ever sold were a lot of flowers, for example, Van Gogh's sunflowers and irises, which sold for record prices in recent years.
Another common Application for flowers to decorate on wallpaper and tiles, which many households. In fact, there are too many uses to mention here.
Many public Buildings, including churches are decorated inside with flowers. As in the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, churches have mentioned Rose decorations throughout. I had never noticed this Rosen, until I read the book. Take a look for themselves, they are there!
EVENTS
Throughout history flowers were used to different occasions. A bride wears flowers on her wedding day and the Church shines with color. Many of the guests also wear flowers as corsages. It is also traditional rose petals to throw over the bride and groom after they leave the church.
Flowers have always been given as gifts at funerals have to remember the life of the deceased. Lilies are the most popular and are associated with death.
If a friend or acquaintance is in the hospital or at home sick what do we bring as a gift? Flowers!
Names of the children
Have you ever thought about flowers as the name of The children are used? I bet you had not noticed how popular they are. For example, rose, poppy, jasmine, lily, violets and daisies are a few, in mind.
Other Uses
Flowers have been used even amuse children. Do you remember when you were young and your mom showed how to make daisy chains? Yes, flowers again!
Even as a child, my mother has shown me that a game with buttercups (another English common flower). She loves me, she loves me not even a game we played in childhood was true love with pulling off the petals of a flower to be found.
Most people never notice flowers.
All of us would notice if they were not there!
Flowers brighten our world, lift our spirits and are an essential part our existence. Look around, our world is beautiful!
