Small Wood Fired Hobbie oven for your home?
Hi everyone I knew what all the sound, and no one near me is a kiln. The children look to do something ceramic and whatnot and I much prefer the idea of the actual tone and burning as opposed to using something like sculpey for Fimo in the oven. I had a friend who in order to do layoffs in his backyard in an old fireplace used his children from small pots and pans and he used to fuel wood and sawdust. I've seen the results, and it was very nice! I am looking for something to do the same thing and I want to keep it small as the largest fires was sick is about the size of a kettle. Are there plans are ive seen the size of a barn! Can someone help me here? And I will be on the normal temp fire so everything doesn't super fragile. Any help would be great:)
It is a book entitled "Alternative fuel methods" describes the various procedures for firing clay without kiln. Pit Burn Sawdust Firing, Raku firing, etc.
